New Happenings Around St. Simons Island, Georgia

Follow Monica Around Town

Today, I’m sharing a few new places (and my go-to spots) around St. Simons Island, Georgia. We love when our Island is filled with new restaurants, event spaces and boutiques! So if you’re planning a beach vacation to SSI this year, pin this post so that you don’t miss the new spots in town!

Wake Up Coffee Co.
I seriously start most days at Wake Up Coffee. It’s truly a special place and I’m obsessed with their Vanilla Chai Latte. Since I’m here almost every day, I have really gotten to know the entire Wake Up Team and their regular visitors AKA my ‘work buddies’. Earlier this month, Evan Beard, one of my favorite Wake Up employees was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Colon Cancer. Evan and his family are the most caring and genuine people on this Island. I’m calling on Lavin Label readers to pray and uplift this sweet family during this difficult time. You can also give at their YouCaring page. (I’m praying for you everyday, Evan)

Porch.
A new restaurant that opened up near the Village is Porch. You feel like you’re eating Chicken on your grandmother’s porch. Expect authentic Nashville Hot Chicken with loads of sides to choose from. They also serve Frosé, need I say more? Last time we were here, I brought a deck of cards and we hung out on the porch. I love the casual vibe. For their full menu, visit Porch online.

The Greenhouse.
This new event space created by owners of The Vine Garden Market is the perfect setting for all types of gatherings. What I love most about this new venue is the island-inspired courtyard area that is over 6,000 square feet. They also offer workshops and wine dinners. Check out their full offerings on their website.

Cloth and Label.
Right next to the Greenhouse is the newest boutique of Cloth and Label by Valarie Zeh. They’ve been a staple on St. Simons for years but they just moved into their newest location earlier this year and it is amazing! Definitely stop by and check out their clothing boutique and interiors shop. Every square inch of this space is Instagram-worthy.

These are just a few stops on the Island. Feel free to browse my St. Simons Travel Guide. I’m hoping to update it this summer for you since it’s not complete but hopefully it’s a good start.
