It seems this year that almost everyone is eagerly waiting to welcome the holiday season. I’ve already seen a lot of my friends don their homes with outdoor lights, wreaths and Christmas Trees! ‘Tis the season!

A large part of my Christmas decor is decorating my home with flowers and greenery. Filling spaces with pops of red flowers and winter greenery, along with lighting a holiday-scented candle certainly lifts my mood and spirit. This year, of course is even more special since it will be our first Christmas with baby Julia. As a result, Christmas is in the air already at our household.

Luckily, I have a florist right next to my home. I pop in quite a lot to grab flowers to give my rooms a little refresh. I love the idea of adding a few blooms or foraged branches to my entry table or putting a sweet little bud vase in the powder room. I also love to make mini arrangements in bud vases and take them to my friends’ homes as a surprise. I just leave it at the door with a note. Everyone can benefit from a random act of kindness!

When I start to arrange flowers, I typically like to work in the kitchen in my carriage house. It’s a great, light-filled room with plenty of counter space that makes cutting and arranging flowers easier. My Metallic Grey SILGRANIT sink offers the perfect neutral backdrop for the Christmas season and it’s patented, scratch-resistant and easy to clean. My SILGRANIT sink also has a wood cutting board accessory that fits perfectly on the top, making it so much more practical for cutting and discarding stems.

Because the SILGRANIT sink is crafted of granite composite, I don’t have to worry about growing bacteria or scratching the surface with scissors. Their proprietary Hygienic Plus Formula acts as a shield against dirt and bacteria making me feel at ease especially in 2020. In addition it makes cleaning up a breeze.

Arranging flowers for me is a great, relaxing activity that centers my mind. It’s something super simple to do. I’d also recommend foraging flowers from your backyard or buying flowers at your local grocery store if you don’t have easy access to a flower shop. If you’re looking for a way to ease into the holiday season, then try arranging some holiday-inspired flowers to decorate your home.
