My Sister's Wedding Dress Shopping Experience

Last year, my sister got engaged!! Casey and I are so thrilled for her, especially since I only have one sibling! I can’t wait to help with all of the wedding planning and celebrate her special day! Eeeek!

To celebrate her engagement and kick off the planning, we spent a whole day wedding dress shopping. I wanted her experience to be both special and memorable, so we headed to one of my favorite wedding dress boutiques in Savannah, BleuBelle Bridal. The owner, Heather Burge, truly rolls out the red carpet for all of her brides! To enhance the occasion, she offers a Bridal Experience Package, where your day begins with a blowout at Parlor Blow Dry Bar in Savannah. Upon your arrival at BleuBelle, you pop a bottle of champagne and sip on some bubbly with your new Emily McCarthy monogrammed wine glasses! In addition to a bag of goodies, a local photographer stops by to document your experience with family and friends. We opted for this package and as a bonus, if you say yes to a dress that day, the $350 for bridal package gets credited towards the purchase of your dress. It was totally worth it!

After we toasted the day with champagne, I gave my sister a note, taking the opportunity to let her know how grateful I am to have her as a sister. We also surprised her by offering to gift her a dress if she found the one! Needless to say, tears were flowing all around. Choosing a wedding dress is such a magical experience and I am so blessed to have been able to share this experience with my sister.

Soon we were busy pulling dress after dress off the racks, and she tried them all on! She was looking for something classic, with a Bohemian twist, and Heather had just the one! My sister found the perfect dress, and it is truly one of the most gorgeous gowns I have ever seen! Don’t worry…no spoiler alert is needed, since none of the pictures in this post are of THE dress.

Last week, my family came to visit. We went back to BleuBelle so my mom could see my sister in her dress. This time, we also ended up choosing the bridesmaid dress that I’ll be wearing. It has a similar neckline to my sister’s wedding gown, which will compliment hers well. This has been an amazing one-stop shop for all of our bridal dress needs, but you’ll have to wait until June 2018 to see her dress!

If you know someone in the market for a wedding dress, or if you are are looking for one for yourself, look into BleuBelle Bridal. It has been the most wonderful experience for our family. Is it too early to renew my vows yet?
