A Wine-Inspired Butler’s Pantry

Design Ideas for my New Butler's Pantry

As you know, we recently bought a new home in Savannah, Georgia. We’re planning some exciting renovations which includes actually moving the current kitchen to an adjacent room and transforming the existing kitchen into a butler’s pantry. One of my favorite rooms in a home is the butler’s pantry because who doesn’t love a space that’s solely dedicated to entertaining. And because this room is a bit closed off from the kitchen it allows me to be more playful with the decor, mixing the traditional feel of the rest of the home with more contemporary elements.

Today, I’m sharing a design board for the butler’s pantry that includes a color palette, tile choices, accessories and fixtures. Since the space will be mostly used for entertaining, the board centers around a South African Sparkling Wine + the new EMPRESSA Bridge Faucet from BLANCO. The wine bottle, which plays off Delft Blue pottery designs from The Netherlands, provides the inspiration behind this design board. The varying shades of blue on the wine bottle pulls together all of the elements in the board such as the floor tile, backsplash, cocktail napkins, cabinetry, farmhouse sink and the polished nickel faucet.

I’m particularly obsessed with the European-inspired design of the EMPRESSA Faucet Collection from BLANCO. The collection is actually modeled after a vintage wine presses found around Europe which is perfect for my wine-inspired butler’s pantry. It’s the perfect blend of traditional and contemporary that will provide a nice focal point in the space. Of their four versatile finishes, I’m especially drawn to the EMPRESSA Bridge Faucet in a polished nickel finish. I love the dual pull down spray on the faucet eliminating the need for an additional side spray element, making the look clean and crisp.

You can find all of the sources in the links below the design board. I’d love to know what you think! Who knows, you might see some of these design elements in the finished space.
