Entry Essentials to Maximize Curb Appeal

I was so excited to learn that House Beautiful shared a picture of my entry a few weeks ago! I had no idea that they were going to include it in a roundup until it was already published. It was such a nice surprise and I’m so grateful to the editor! As a result, I thought that I’d break down all of the elements of my #ArtoftheEntry from paint colors to gas lanterns.

Exterior Paint Colors.
To make the house look youthful, I decided to paint the front doors Blue Danube by Benjamin Moore. I absolutely love this color and how it perfectly compliments the Charleston Green shutters.

Front Doors.
I always get questions on where I found my front doors. They actually came with the house so I don’t have any details. However, I found a very similar design via Doors for Builders and hopefully that helps get you on the right track.

Door Knockers.
Last year I was antiquing in Savannah and I popped by a local store. I found this adorable set of fox door knockers! Unfortunately, the store has since closed but I found the same door knocker via Etsy.

Gas Lanterns.
Since living in Charleston after College, I’ve always wanted gas lanterns. They add so much character to an entryway. There are two companies that I’d recommend based on your desired style. Check out Bevolo or Carolina Lanterns. Our specific model is called The Magnolia from Carolina Lanterns.

If you love curb appeal, then explore my #ArtoftheEntry hashtag. It’s been such a fun way to document beautiful homes as I travel. Join in and use the hashtag to share your favorite homes’ entryways.
