A Mini Branding Refresh

My New Branding Materials with the Help of Emily McCarthy

I remember the excitement of seeing Lavin Label’s logo for the first time. I spent a lot of time thinking of fonts, colors, symbols, etc. I knew that I wanted it to represent me and the brand that I was creating. I opted for the logo that I have today — a blush pink and light grey color palette with a gold foil pineapple. After two years, I still love my logo however recently I’ve been wanting to do a little mini-refresh by adding new business cards and notecards. So, I reached out to Savannah-based lifestyle designer Emily McCarthy who I’ve featured on Lavin Label numerous times in the past. I just love her designs & creativity.

Emily is a talented designer who is well-known for her custom monogram pieces. She works with clients for all of their branding needs, everything from their website to products and packaging. Some of the brands she has worked with are Sapelo Skin Care, Johnson Vann Interiors and Libbie Summers. For all of those I think she has been able to beautifully design impeccable branding that matches the stories of her clients. I think her monograms as well as her use of geometric patterns are so unique and I just love everything she creates. She took my logo and created a custom design for business cards and notecards. For both, she used the highest quality heavyweight paper. Trust me when I tell you these are not your average business cards. They have a textured feel and are a little larger than typical business cards. As for the notecards, we went with a flat notecard on blush paper. Using the pineapple from my logo, she created a gorgeous pattern for the inside liner of the envelope. I love that she used the elements of my logo and made her own creative design, all while staying in line with my brand. What a talent to be able to blend and modify! These notecards & business cards will leave a lasting impression on my clients.

When you are ready to update your branding essentials, make sure you take the time to select something that really represents your company and stands out. This is an investment that is sure to go a long way. Thank you Emily!
