4 Ways to Style Your Bedroom Pillows

Farm-to-Bed Luxury Bedding with Lime & Leaf

With Spring approaching, I like to give my bedrooms a little refresh, without fully redecorating them. One of my favorite ways to do this is to update the bedding. However, I always find myself trying to figure out the best way to arrange the pillows so that I know exactly what to buy. Does anyone else get stuck in this rut, too? So I thought it would be beneficial to show you four ways that you can style your bedroom pillows. I laid out how many shams, euros & regular pillow cases that you’ll need to accomplish these styles for your queen or full size bed.

But first, I have to mention our new bedding from Lime & Leaf! I fell in love with their farm-to-bed philosophy since everything handcrafted in the U.S. We get a handful of guests that come to visit us and the main draw (though we like to think that it’s us) is the beach. Let’s be honest. So with this in mind, I wanted to bring in a subtle coastal feel for our guest bedrooms. I opted for their Seaglass duvet cover and euros with their Fan Shell pillow covers. With Lime & Leaf bedding expect breathable and comfortable fabrics that get softer with each wash.

To create these looks, I’m using a combination of 2 standard pillows (fan shell embroidered sheet set in sea foam), 2 shams (standard sham in seaglass), 2 Euro shams (seaglass) and 2 decorative pillows (fan shell pillow covers).

Look One

  1. Use the 2 euro shams and place them side by side, using them as your first layer, closest to the headboard.
  2. Then place the 2 standard pillows, centered in front of each Euro sham.
  3. Next, place the 2 standard shams, centered in front of each pillow.
  4. Place the 2 decorative pillows centered in front of each sham.

Look Two

  1. Use the 2 euro shams and place them side by side, using them as your first layer, closest to the headboard.
  2. Then place the 2 standard pillows, centered in front of each euro sham.
  3. Next, place the 2 standard shams, centered in front of each pillow.
  4. Place 1 decorative pillow in the center of the 2 shams.

Look Three

  1. Lay the 2 standard pillows flat and beside one another at the head of the bed.
  2. Place the 2 standard shams on top of each pillow.
  3. Place the 2 decorative pillows in the center of each pillow stack.
