Earlier this week I went on a quick jaunt to Savannah, Georgia. It was sunny and 70 degrees which reminded me why I love living in the south. We walked up and down Broughton Street — stopped at Monk Noodle Bar for lunch, sipped flat whites outside of the Paris Market (where I also snagged Casey’s Valentine’s Day gift) and stopped in one of my favorite boutiques, Club Monaco, to find the perfect spring time outfit.
Luckily, Club Monaco just unveiled their Spring/Summer 2017 Collection during NYFW. However it wasn’t a typical runway show. They showcased their new collection in their flagship store for both the consumers and media to experience it. And right after the show everything was available to shop in every Club Monaco store & online!
The women’s collection is full of colorful patterns and peasant details which are offset by clean, crisp fabrics. I especially love the classic stripes and pleated ruffles as you can see in my outfit. I left Club Monaco with the multi-colored pleated Rosalind Skirt. I paired it with their pale pink Colema Sweater. I loved the details of the shoulder cutouts and ruffles. You can also pair this sweater with a pair of high-waisted jeans for a more casual look. Between the playful Isa Tapia heels and the movement of the skirt it made for a fun afternoon walking through the squares of Savannah. In the summer months, I’ll pair the pleated skirt with a silk cami and ballet flats.
You can view & shop the full collection online and in-stores. Also, check out the video of the runway show to preview the collection.
