An Elegant Thanksgiving Tablescape

Tips for An Elegant Thanksgiving Table with Wayfair

I’m teaming up with Wayfair today to showcase a Thanksgiving tablescape. My husband, Casey, and I host Thanksgiving at our house every year — and Casey is one of eight children. So Thanksgiving is is a big deal in our household. When thinking about how I’m going to style the dinner table I opt for decor that is approachable yet elegant. I want everyone to feel comfortable — and I also want it to be special for the family.

Tip One. Invest in a Classic White Dinner Plate

My recommendation is to invest in a classic dinner plate, like this one that I snagged from Wayfair. The white plate with a silver trim can be easily mixed with accent plates + chargers. For Thanksgiving, I style a more elegant place setting with help from Beachview Event Rentals and Design. I invest in tableware essentials such as flatware, dinner plates and glassware that I can use all year round — and then work with Beachview to rent accents such as gold chargers, napkins and salad plates!

Tip Two. Pack A Punch With Floral Arrangements

I fell in love with these silver footed bowls from Wayfair and even though they’re serving bowls, I decided to use them as a vessel for floral arrangements from The Vine Garden Market. The right flowers can really transform your tablescape and these ceramic footed bowls add just the right amount of elegance. The silver trim perfectly matches the dinner plates. Oh, and don’t be afraid to mix metals — I love the look of both silver + gold on a table.

Tip Three. Add Height With Taper Candles

Candlelight is also a very important element to a table that is often overlooked. I always have candles on my dinner table, either with tea lights or candle sticks. They’re welcoming and relaxing — which is exactly how you want your guests to feel. For this look, I opted for these silver candlesticks from Wayfair. I like that they come in a set because they’re varying heights — which is perfect for a tablescape.

Thanks for watching! I’d love to see how you style your Thanksgiving table! Be sure to subscribe to Wayfair’s YouTube channel so that you stay up to date.
