Oh heavens! I’ve been anxious to write this post for a long time! We just closed on our house a week ago and I can’t believe that this is going to be what we call our home in just a few months! As you can see the house needs a good bit of work but the bones of the house are great and we love all of the character! So we’re spending the next few months working with our contractor and our designer to help us bring our dreams to life. I can’t wait to document the renovation process and to see how it all comes together!

Right now, we’re in the process of finalizing the floor plan and trying to make the best use of the space. We plan to pretty much take down most of the walls to redo the floor plan and maximize the space. For this renovation, I’ve partnered with Leah Bailey with Leah G. Bailey Interior Design of Savannah, GA. I feel like her designs evoke such a peaceful feeling and have very clean lines — which I’m a fan of both. I’m really looking forward to working with her and we have our first meeting this week! I’ll be sharing some of Leah’s work in the next few weeks to give you an idea of her talent. Leah has been featured in an assortment of national publications such as French Country, Better Homes & Garden, Redbook, and Beautiful Kitchen and Bath. She also just filmed two pilots for HGTV that are scheduled to air this summer/early fall! How did I get so lucky to have her working with me?! Again, I’ll be sharing more about Leah in the next few weeks so stay tuned!

So I thought it’d be best to share with you the BEFORE pictures so that you can follow along and see our progress! Of course, Kelli Boyd, can make anything look good but I hope that this gives you an idea of  the current state of the home. Did I mention that I’m soo excited?!
