DIY Terrarium Centerpiece

A Unique Centerpiece with World Market

This post is in partnership with World Market.

If you’re looking for a fresh take on the classic terrarium, then I have the perfect look for you! World Market has a beautiful assortment of terrariums that vary in style and size. I chose this gorgeous terrarium that’s both tall and has a wide cement base, which allows it to accommodate both moss and flowers. As a bonus, the glass dome on this terrarium is removable, so you can easily style the arrangement on the base and then put the dome on top. To build your terrarium, start by selecting fresh flowers that compliment the decor in your room. Then create the moss layer in the bottom of the terrarium. Feel free to be creative when it comes to the base layer of your terrarium–you can use soil, gravel or even sand. Next, poke holes into the moss in order to secure the flowers and any other accents in the middle of your moss mound. Remember you can always change out the flowers to bring new life and color to your terrarium.

If you’re looking for inspiration, World Market has tons of rocks, succulents and other fun accents to help you personalize your terrarium.  You can check out their unique terrariums, such as the brass geo and hanging glass terrariums, on their website. There are many different ways to display a terrarium, such as a decorative centerpiece on your dining room table, coffee table, or even an accent on the counter in a guest bathroom. This is an easy way to bring plants and breath life into a room. There’s no better time to do this project since World Market is having an online sale this Monday through Thursday where you get 15% off and free shipping on orders of $100 with the code 2DEALS. Feel free to share your favorite ways to decorate a terrarium!

I saw the terrariums at World Market last week, and now am so upset that I didn’t get one! I love how they look and can add greenery to any space. Love the DIY 🙂

I can’t seem to keep anything but my husband and the pets alive in my house. I’m some kind of plant black widow… I love the thought of having a good base that fresh cut flowers can be swapped into that has the natural charm of something I’ve kept alive, though. Brilliant!
