Candle Making Workshops in Charleston

I’m always on the lookout for fun + different things to do, especially on a weeknight. Sometimes I can get stuck in a rut in the evenings when I come home from work, cook dinner and watch TV. There has got to be more to life! On my recent visit to Charleston, I stumbled across Candlefish, a new shop located on Wentworth street that specializes in the craft of candle making. The shop is a destination for inspiration. If you are visiting Charleston, you MUST stop by Candlefish. You won’t be disappointed.

Part of their mission is to share experiences through scent, touch, and sight — which is why thy offer a variety of workshops + events for the community. I attended the Candle Making: Scented Candle workshop with Amy Pellegrino, Candlefish’s marketing gal. The workshop is about two hours in length and you learn about the whole process of candle making because you actually make a candle from start to finish.  Yes, you become a chandler for the night! The workshop is also BYOB — so grab some rosé and some friends and head to 71 Wentworth Street.
